Welcome  to the official web site of the City of Sterling Fire Department.  Our site contains valuable safety information and information about our department.

The City of Sterling Fire Department has the strength of twenty-two career firefighters ten part-time EMS, and fifteen volunteer firefighters, which serve a residential population of more than 23,000 citizens.  Our department provides fire services to a geographical area of over 600  square miles and EMS services for Logan County, a geographic area of approximately 1850 square miles.  Our service area includes residential, commercial, and rural areas.

Our department provides the following services:

Fire prevention, emergency medical care including- Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support transport, fire suppression, dive team, technical rescue, hazardous materials mitigation, disaster response, and any specific education classes within our scope.

Sterling is a wonderful community to live and raise a family.  Our department, which has an ISO fire rating of class 4, maintains a strong partnership with the community we  serve.
