I want to welcome you to the official web site of the Sterling Fire Department.  Our site contains valuable information about our department.  I hope you will take the time to explore the different areas and links.

The Sterling Fire Department has the strength of twenty-two career firefighters and fifteen volunteer firefighters, which serve a residential population of more than 18,000 citizens.  Our fire station provides fire services to a geographical area of over 600  square miles, along with EMS services for Logan County, a geographic area of approximately 1850 square miles.  Our service area includes residential, commercial, and rural areas.

Our department provides the following services:

Fire prevention, emergency medical care including- Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support transport, fire suppression, technical rescue, hazardous materials mitigation, disaster response, and any specific education classes within our scope.

Sterling is a wonderful community in which to live.  Our department, which has an ISO fire rating of class 4, maintains a strong partnership with the community we  serve as described by our mission statement.

To accomplish our mission, we need your support and understanding of our operations.  I hope that our revised web site contributes to building an even better and stronger partnership between us.
