Barking Dog - report a problem with a barking dog or a dog on the loose by calling the Humane Society, (970) 520-2804 and leaving a voicemail for their answering service
A Crime - for all nonviolent crime, such as identity theft, vandalism or lost or found property, call the non emergency line, (970) 522-3512 or use our new online reporting tool. For an EMERGENCY call 911!
Personnel Compliment, Suggestions or Complaints - Submit a complaint against an officer or employee of the Police Department. An investigation will be conducted and, if substantiated, appropriate action may be taken.

ATV Registration - the Police Department is available for ATV registrations on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m.- 9 a.m.
Fingerprinting Services - the Police Department is available for fingerprinting Mondays through Fridays only, from 8 a.m.-
5 p.m.
Extra Patrol - to request house watch/increased patrol call (970) 522-3512 option 1
K9 Demonstrations - to request a K9 demo call (970) 522-3512 option 1 and ask for Sgt Grant.
Police Records - official reports of all incidents reported to Sterling Police are available on request from the Records Department
VIN Verification - standard VIN Verifications are available at the Police Department on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m.
