Since 2010 the Sterling Police Department and the Logan County Sheriff's Department have come together to host Blue Santa as a yearly food drive to help the less fortunate families and children in our communities around Christmas time. In December 2015, Blue Santa and 'A Child's Christmas on the Prairie' partnered up for the first time to host the 7th annual event at the Overland Trail Museum. Complimentary photographs with Blue Santa were taken while the kids shared their Christmas lists with him. The children also sang Christmas carols, played Christmas bingo, decorated cookies and enjoyed story time. There was hot coco and fresh cinnamon rolls available and both departments offered Child ID Kits. Each year brings more fun and games, we can't wait for the 9th annual Blue Santa event this December!
