Sterling Municipal Airport, also known as Crosson Field, is a medium-sized general aviation airport located 3.5 miles west from the City of Sterling at 16562 Hwy 14. The Airport is staffed seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (0800 to 1700 hours) with a person on call during non-staffed hours.
The airport’s primary runway is concrete; over 4,700’ long, and 75 ‘ wide. The airport’s elevation is 4,038’. It is equipped with lights, MIRL, navigational aids and an approved GPS approach. The Unicom frequency is 122.8.
Services available include aviation fuel 100 LL, Jet A, and various aviation oils. Also, NOAA charts are available. The terminal is equipped with a DTN aviation terminal. A courtesy car is available upon request. Hangars are available by the day or month at a very reasonable rate.

There are several recreational sites within 20 miles of Sterling and a wide selection of motel/hotel and restaurants are located within a 5-mile radius. Rental cars are available from local car dealerships.
