The Recreation Center now has an indoor pool with a capacity of 225, including the diving well and an outdoor pool with a capacity of nearly 450. The outdoor pool includes several water features including a Multi-Play 5 and three slides The pool has a 50x50 beach entry as well as a separate wading pool with a mini water dome and six water jets.
The largest attraction at the pool is the double flumed slide, complete with a translucent blue speed slide about 130 feet long and one open flume slide about 220 feet long. Picnic tables and chairs can accommodate over 300 patrons and the seven shade structures provide plenty of protection from the sun's ultra violet rays.
All children 3 and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult.
All children 4 and 5 years old must be supervised by a parent or guardian in the swimming pool area.
All children 6 years of age or older may swim without a parent or guardian.

Weight Room Policies
Age Limit: The Recreation Center allows 12 and 13 year olds to use the Fitness Room under the supervision of an adult 18 or older. Anyone 14 or older can use the Fitness Room without supervision. T-shirts, gym shorts or sweat pants, and tennis shoes must be worn by all users of the fitness room.
Wallyball is a team game combining the skills of racquetball and volleyball and is played on a racquetball court. Each game is played to 15 points, two points ahead to win. A match is the best two out of three games. Black soled shoes and street shoes are not allowed on the courts.
There is no set night for league matches. Teams must contact each other and agree on a match time. Individual awards are provided to the top two teams in each division.
Racquetball enthusiasts can reserve courts anytime the day before playing. Cancellations are appreciated at least two hours before your scheduled playing time. For reservations call 522-7882.
A ΒΌ size basketball court is available at the Sterling Recreation Center. One to ten people can play on a 10' hoop complete with three point line.
One of the following forms of identification must be presented to the cashier to rent a locker or other equipment items at the Sterling Recreation Center:
Sterling Recreation Center I.D.'s are available at a cost of $2.50 per person and are valid for two years from the date issued. This policy was adopted by the Parks, Library and Recreation Board and will help to maintain security in the locker rooms.
