The HR Department is located at 421 North 4th Street, Sterling, Colorado 80751. The City of Sterling only accepts applications for positions that have an opening. Applications are required for all positions and can be obtained by contacting the HR Department.

Applicants for certain positions must take and pass a drug test as a condition of employment.

All employees of the City of Sterling hired after November 6, 1986 are required to provide proof of their identity and eligibility for employment within the United States of America. This may be done in a variety of ways, but the most common method is by producing a Colorado Operator's License and a birth certificate or social security card. There are other methods that may be used and any applicant interested in this may contact the HR Department of the City at any time for the information.
