General Information

Sterling Public Library (SPL) uses Polaris to provide access to our Library catalog and many other services. Patrons are able to place holds on books, check due dates, renew books and much more at http://sterling.polarislibrary.com

The Library also maintains a diverse print collection. This collection contains fiction, nonfiction, mysteries, science fiction, westerns and large print for children, young adults and adults. Selections are also available on CD. Videos are available for all ages on DVD. Preloaded Nooks are available for all ages to check out. The devices have a wide range of titles available on each. Sterling Public Library also subscribes to 67 periodicals and 6 newspapers.

SPL embraces providing digital formats to our patrons. E-books, audio books in MP3 format, and some music and videos are available to download from the Across Colorado Digital Consortium at http://coloradodc.lib.overdrive.com. Anyone with a valid Sterling Public Library card has access to these items.

We also provide access to downloadable music through Freegal at https://sterlingplco.freegalmusic.com. Library cardholders can download three songs a week with their library card.

 We also provide access to many other E-sources.
